Boomerang, planting stick and glasses

Object

Conductor Georg Schnévoigt’s souvenir boomerang from a trip to Australia in 1937, came to the museum after his death in 1947.

This planting stick originally belonging to Robert Kajanus was catalogued as a toy pistol upon arrival to the museum, which is even written on the object. The stick was donated by Kajanus’ son, violin artist Kai Kajanus in 1952.

Guitarist Jukka Tolonen left his broken eyeglasses to the museum during a concert in 2006 after having received new market glasses from the museum staff.
