Riisitunturi National Park

Thing to See

In winter, the national park enchants visitors with its snow-covered trees, which under the heavy weight of snow resemble nature’s own sculptures. In summer, cotton grass sways in the slope fens of Riisitunturi, while the golden plover’s wistful song echoes across the mountain heath. From the fell’s summit, breathtaking views open up over Lake Kitkajärvi, stretching all the way to the blue hills of Kuusamo.
