Barents Games has received funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland.

PoPLi is organinsing Developing appreciation for Barents Sports -project. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the sense of community, visibility, and brand of Barents Sports and the Barents Games, as well as to develop shared operational models. Through the project, transparency and equality in athlete selection processes will be enhanced, and sports clubs will be trained in responsible event organization. Another key goal is to involve national sports federations more closely in Barents Sports activities across both summer and winter sports.
