Isle of Varjakka

Explore the island of Varjakka. You can access the historic sawmill setting by a hand-pulled cable ferry or rowboat from the lively Varjakka marina. To reserve the ferry read instructions from the City of Oulu webpage. A 15 € key fee is charged per use of the ferry.

Booking the Varjakka Cable Ferry

• Reservations by calling +358 500 419 951. Booking calls are accepted daily between 12:00 and 18:00.
• Instructions for key collection and return will be provided upon booking.
• The ferry can be reserved in five daily time slots between 08:00 and 23:00. Each booking slot lasts three hours.

Available time slots are:

08:00–11:00
11:00–14:00
14:00–17:00
17:00–20:00
20:00–23:00

Please note that the booking start time refers to the key collection time. The key must also be returned before the end of the reserved slot.

A €15 key fee is charged per use of the ferry.
