Mark the Evangelist

Saint Mark was one of the 70 apostles. He is most well known for writing the Gospel of Mark. He preached the Gospel in Africa and he was killed by the pagans around 63 AD. In iconography Saint Mark is often depicted with a lion, symbolizing might and holy dignity of Christ.
