Raatihuoneen Square

In the area surrounding Raatihuoneen Square, you can see much of Hamina's past. The square is surrounded by old, preserved buildings, each telling its own story. The terracotta-colored St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church was built in the early 19th century. The design of the Byzantine-style round temple dates back to 1831. The church's foundation stone was laid in 1832, and it was completed in 1837.
