Liisa Karintaus - Boy
PaintingLiisa Karintaus, originally from Rovaniemi (b. 1977 Muurola), explores in her works the relationship between humans and nature, childhood landscapes, and the relationship between painting and the digital. The starting points of her work are material, philosophical, poetic, or personal reflections and experiences. The relationship between humans and nature, the earth and its transformation, are recurring themes.
“I currently paint with tempera and oil. Some of the pigments I collect from nature, while some of the colours are digital. Through art it is possible to explore life, discover something new and unknown, search for beauty, and find connections,” says Karintaus.
