Markku Heikkilä - Delta (Green)

Markku Heikkilä (b. 1959, Kemi) is a visual artist based in Rovaniemi. Heikkilä works both in nature and in his studio. In his work, he explores and observes the shared rhythm of humans and nature. His works evoke rain, wind, marble and water.

In the Delta series, the organic forms evoke a river delta, where a river branches into several channels and swirls among sediment before flowing into the sea or a lake.
