Hiukkavaara shooting range

The Hiukkavaara shooting ranges are primarily managed by the Finnish Defence Forces. The area is Defence Forces property, and staying there without permission is prohibited. The ranges may be used by authorities and by members of those shooting clubs that have a valid usage agreement with the Kainuu Brigade.

The range is closed on public holidays, as well as on Midsummer Eve, Christmas Eve and Holy Saturday.

Hiukkavaara’s shooting ranges may also be reserved for authorities, the National Defence Training Association (MPK), or club training sessions — so it’s always worth checking current reservations before heading out.
