Anssi Pulkkinen and Taneli Rautiainen - Systems (Flow) VI
SculptureAnssi Pulkkinen (b. 1982) and Taneli Rautiainen (b. 1983) have created several public sculpture projects together, including works for Aleksanterinaukio at the Art Factory in Porvoo. The artists work primarily with metal pipes. By connecting them, an everyday industrial material is transformed from construction material into art.
Their practice is characterised by an exploration of space, scale, and perceptual experience. Pulkkinen and Rautiainen often examine how people experience the built environment and how space can shift from something familiar to something strange in our perception.
The visual language of Systems (Flow) IV refers not only to piping and water flows but also to wind instruments.
