Wingfoiling looks incredible on the water, but you can get a feel for it already on the shore. Pick up a wing and feel how the wind does the work.

During the Maritime Helsinki weekend, HSK’s surf beach becomes a place where water sports are truly present, not just to watch, but to experience.

At the Lappis wingfoil point, you can drop by at any time during the weekend, no booking required. On the shore, you can try handling the wing in practice: how it feels in your hands, how it reacts to the wind and why the sport gets you hooked even before you step into the water.

For those who want to go further, a limited number of guided on-water try-outs will also be organised during the weekend. In these sessions, you can try the board and take your first glides safely under guidance. More detailed times and bookings will be published separately on the event page, linked at the end of the text.

Wingfoiling is only one part of the whole. For the weekend, Lappis will bring a wide selection of foil sports to the site: pumpfoil, scootfoil, e-foil and SUP foil. In practice, this means that on one beach you can see and experience different ways of “flying over water”.

At the same time, HSK’s surf section will also organise windsurfing courses and try-outs in the area, so you can follow several wind sports side by side on the shore. The atmosphere is not just a single event moment, but constantly alive: movement on the water, try-outs on the shore and people around you who are either just starting out or already deep into the sport.

The event is organised in cooperation with HSK, one of Helsinki’s key centres for sailing and water sports.
