Kaija Kiuru - Cone 9, 10 and 12

Visual artist Kaija Kiuru (b. 1959, Sodankylä) works in installations, sculpture, photography, and environmental art. Her themes often focus on the relationship between humans and their surroundings. Kiuru is interested in the idea of humans as part of nature and in humans’ dominance over nature. Her works range from small, delicate compositions to large-scale landscape projects, with materials and techniques chosen fluidly to suit each concept.
