The Finnish Lifeboat Institution aims to promote a safer and more responsible boating culture and to help prevent accidents on the water. The first nationwide Boating Safety Week will be held on June 1–7, 2026.

Boating Safety Week is a national safety campaign hosted and coordinated by the Finnish Lifeboat Institution in cooperation with public authorities and other organizations in the boating sector. The event will be observed annually during the first week of June.

As part of Boating Safety Week, Open House Day will be held at Finnish Lifeboat Institution stations on June 6.
