6. University of the Arts Sibelius Academy

The Sibelius Academy is one of the largest music academies in Europe and offers the highest level of music education in Finland. The Sibelius Academy is one of the three academies of the University of the Arts.

The internationally renowned Sibelius Academy has been training world-class artists and versatile music professionals since 1882. At the heart of the University's activities is an uncompromising passion for making and a love of music. The University is ranked annually in its field among the best institutions in its field.

The Sibelius Academy offers high quality teaching in classical music, jazz, folk music, global music and church music. Students can also study music technology, music education, composition and music theory, cultural music studies, arts management and entrepreneurship.

Students have the space to grow into distinctive arts professionals in an environment that values diversity and cohesion, from youth education to doctoral studies. Our international community of around 1 400 students and 500 teachers from Finland and around the world is closely linked to pioneering research and the development of music practice.

In addition to the Music Centre, Sibelius Academy has two other locations in the vicinity of the Music Centre, in Töölö.

Next we go to the Mannerheimintie entrance, which is best reached by lift. If you are facing the entrance to the Sibelius Academy, turn around and go around the corner to the right. There you will find lifts going up to the Mannerheimintie entrance.
